The London Indian Film Festival (LIFF), Birmingham Indian Film Festival (BIFF) and Manchester Indian Film Festival (MIFF) together make up Europe’s largest Indian film festival. Over the last 10 years we have garnered a reputation as the ‘Punk Rock of Indian Film festivals’, presenting a cutting-edge selection of the very best new independent cinema from the Indian subcontinent and its worldwide diaspora. This offering includes dramatic features, documentaries, short films and Screen Talks by South Asia’s greatest film-making talent.
We’ve curated the largest South Asian film festival outside of India for over a decade, but our work isn’t just limited to the summer months. We launched our online platform in response to the coronavirus pandemic that hit us last year and we’re pleased to be offering new premieres this year online and in the cinema as we bring you a hybrid festival in London, Birmingham, Manchester, feature films and shorts online across the UK and interviews and Q&As that are available globally.
Thanks to the BFI for their continued support.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to the whole team and all of our partners for making this happen and to you our audience, for standing by us and continuing to support our endeavours to make diverse independent cinema accessible.
