In Conversation With Ayushmann Khurrana

One of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, Ayushmann Khurrana opens the festival with an in-depth In Conversation event, about his life and career.

He candidly speaks to the Chief Film Critic of UK’s Metro newspaper Larushka Ivan-Zadeh, about the themes of his movies - many of which have issues attached to them, from balding, to impotence, to starring in the mainstream Bollywood LGBTQ+ hit film, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. He talks about the preparation he does for characters, and about how he is able to create memorable sketches of the roles he plays, especially his ability to code switch seamlessly, like a chameleon, in films like Andhadhun, Article 15, and Dream Girl.

In less than a decade, he went from being a TV star, to a silver screen star, and has now come full circle with hit films across OTT and VoD platforms, into people’s living rooms, especially with his latest film Gulabo Sitabo.
